A distinctive blend of thyme, sumac, sesame seeds, and salt, Jordanian Zaatar (Zatar) is an ancient Middle Eastern spice mix originating in Jordan. Popularly enjoyed as a breakfast pizza called Manoush, the mix can also be used as a sandwich spread when combined with olive oil.
